Our Story

Hope for Healing Foundation was born from a deeply personal place — from lived experiences with mental health struggles, loss, and the long, winding road to healing. We believe that every person deserves to be seen, heard, and supported.

The semicolon in our logo is intentional. Adapted from the Semicolon Project, it represents a pause — not an ending. When an author could have chosen to end a sentence but didn't, they used a semicolon. You are the author. Your story isn't over.

The butterfly alongside the semicolon represents transformation — the beautiful, resilient process of healing and becoming. Together, these symbols reflect our core belief: that out of the darkest moments, something extraordinary can emerge.

About Me

My name is Dawn Link, founder of Hope for Healing Access Foundation Inc.

As a mother, wife, community member, and professional, I have seen firsthand how deeply mental health challenges affect individuals, families, and entire communities. Throughout my personal journey, I have watched adolescents, parents, friends, and loved ones struggle not only with mental health conditions, but also with the overwhelming barriers to getting help.

Too often, people are ready to seek support but cannot afford therapy, psychiatric care, aftercare, or ongoing treatment. Many are left facing some of the hardest moments of their lives alone because access to care feels out of reach.

That is why I created Hope for Healing.

This foundation was built on the belief that mental health care should never be a privilege reserved only for those who can afford it. Our mission is to help break down barriers to care by supporting access to therapy, psychiatric services, recovery support, and mental health resources for adolescents, individuals, and families in need.

Hope for Healing is more than a foundation — it is a community-driven effort rooted in compassion, advocacy, hope, and healing. We are committed to helping people feel seen, supported, and reminded that they are never alone in their journey.

My hope is that through this foundation we can build stronger communities, reduce stigma, and create real opportunities for healing.

You are not alone. Your story matters. There is hope.

With Purpose,

Dawn

I want to thank my husband, Jamie, and our daughters, Addelyn and Bella, for being part of this journey. Your love, support, and encouragement mean everything to me, and I look forward to continuing to grow this mission together as a family.
